As the last step in web development, we always help you market your web site. We consult with you and determine what are keywords and phrases your potential customers would type into search engines to find you. Then, we not only make sure these keywords are prominent text on your page(s), but also make sure they are in the META tags (hidden code to help the search engines categorize your site).
We've seen many sites developed by other firms that either have no META tags in the pages at all, which is like getting a phone number and not putting it in the phone book. We've also seen sites that have the exact same META tags on every page. This method runs the risk of having the search engines kick you out or not include you at all, for they 'think' you're spamming their index.
Webbs composse unique META tags on every single page on your site. This makes sure that each page of your web site is categorized in the search engines according to that particular pages' content. This has several purposes:
- This helps each page in your site get indexed in the search engines. Since each page of your site is unique, so should the META tags, emphasizing the main topics of each site.
- Makes sure that the search engines don't kick you out of their index because they think you are spamming them by trying to submit the same page over and over.
- Not relying upon your front page or 'splash page' to pull in traffic to your site. If you have a 30 page site, why not use those pages to pull in traffic as well?
Webbs uses Web Position Gold for helping search engine registration. Although we don't 100% rely upon this program, it does allow for quick and efficient search engine registration. We don't believe in submitting to the non top search engines as many 'search engine registration' companies offer. What's the point? These companies offer submitting to 1000+ search engines for a 'small' fee.
It has been our experience that the only thing you're going to get out of that is lots of SPAM. Think of it this way: if you were to ask 10 or so of your friends which search engine they use, they are going to name one of the top ones (listed below). Who's ever heard of the other 990?
